FrontSQL includes standard formmail facilities including file attachments, multiple target addresses (e.g. copying emails to the site administrator) and fully templated personalised messages. This is heavily used to provide automated communications, such as emailing welcome messages to new subscribers, notifying administrators of site activity, providing instant feedback forms to subscribers and so on. FrontSQL Pro adds an advanced broadcast communication service which includes:
· targeted reminders, such as for renewals of subscriptions or advertising
· author contact mailouts, whether to all authors or just those in the latest issue
· special services, such as broadcast digests announcing new issues going online or special competitions or activities

What ecommerce features are offered?
All versions of FrontSQL support entry-level ecommerce facilities, including seamless secure server support and immediate credit card checking including card type, number validity, cardholder name specification and expiry date. A secure email transmission interface is also provided. FrontSQL Enterprise will offer a live ecommerce API allowing customizable support to be added for a range of processing services including Cybercash and IC Verify.
How secure are these?
Encryption is supported in FrontSQL's ecommerce and communication features, so your users can be confident that their private details will not be identifiable to external sources. In FrontSQL, no credit card information is stored in the FrontSQL database.
